Chairbook is booking software for independent barbers. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it. We keep it simple because we have nothing to hide.
What we collect
We only collect what's needed to run the service.
- —Barbers (account holders): Name, email address, shop info (name, booking URL, address, services, hours). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile email and name.
- —Customers (booking users): Name and phone number when you book an appointment. No account required.
How we use it
- —To let barbers manage their booking schedule and customer list.
- —To let customers book appointments without creating an account.
- —To send appointment confirmation and reminder notifications to customers.
- —To identify returning customers for loyalty visit tracking.
What we don't do
- —We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
- —During the beta period, Chairbook does not process customer payments or store payment details. Customers pay barbers directly at the time of the appointment.
- —We don't require customers to create accounts or hand over more info than their name and phone number.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to operate Chairbook:
- —Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- —Email delivery for appointment notifications.
Data retention
Appointment and account data is retained while your barber account is active. Customer booking data is retained to support loyalty tracking and appointment history. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Just email us and we'll handle it promptly.
