By creating an account or using Chairbook, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Chairbook.
What Chairbook is
Chairbook is appointment booking software for independent barbers. Barbers use Chairbook to manage their schedule and customer relationships. Customers use it to book appointments — no account required.
Accounts
- —You must be at least 13 years old to use Chairbook. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to create an account.
- —You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- —You must provide accurate information when setting up your shop profile.
Payments and billing
- —Beta access: Chairbook is currently free during the beta period. Pricing, plans, and billing terms may change before full public launch. You will be notified in advance of any changes that affect your account.
- —Customer payments: During the beta period, Chairbook does not process customer payments or store payment details. Customers pay barbers directly at the time of the appointment.
Acceptable use
Chairbook prohibits the following. You may not use Chairbook to:
- —Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- —Access or attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
- —Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity of the service or its infrastructure.
- —Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent shop or booking information.
- —Harass, abuse, or harm customers, barbers, or other users of the platform.
Account suspension and termination
Chairbook may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if you:
- —Violate these Terms of Service.
- —Misuse the platform or its features.
- —Abuse, harass, or harm customers or other users.
- —Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.
- —Create legal, security, or reputational risk for Chairbook or its users.
We will notify you where reasonably possible before taking action. In cases of serious violations, we may act immediately without prior notice.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may update, change, or temporarily take down features with reasonable notice. We'll do our best to communicate any planned downtime in advance.
Cancellation
- —Barbers can close their account at any time. No contracts, no lock-in.
- —When paid plans are introduced, cancellation and refund policies will be communicated clearly before any billing begins.
Limitation of liability
Chairbook is a scheduling tool. We're not responsible for missed appointments, no-shows, or disputes between barbers and their customers. The service is provided as-is without warranties of any kind.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of Chairbook after changes means you accept the updated terms.
